How to Measure a Drawer for a Cutlery Insert

1. Measure the internal width

Remove loose contents and measure from the inside face of the left drawer wall to the inside face of the right wall. Measure at the front and back; use the smaller result if they differ.

• 400–499 mm: Vide NO.4
• 500–599 mm: Vide NO.5
• 600–699 mm: Vide NO.6
• 700–799 mm: Vide NO.7
• 800–899 mm: Vide NO.8
• 900–1000 mm: Vide NO.9

2. Confirm the internal depth

Measure from the inside of the drawer front to the back wall. The Vide is 472 mm deep, so the clear internal depth must accommodate that dimension without fouling the drawer front or back.

3. Check clear height

Measure from the drawer base to the lowest obstruction above it. The Vide is 53 mm high. Allow for handles, runners or an internal drawer positioned above.

Avoid these common mistakes

Do not use the external cabinet width, the drawer-front width, a kitchen plan's nominal module size, or a measurement taken over an existing liner. Photographing the tape in position is useful if you need help confirming the size.
