Australian kitchens are often described by nominal cabinet widths, but a 600 mm cabinet does not contain a 600 mm-wide drawer. Side walls, runners and construction details reduce the usable internal space.
Measure the finished drawer—not the nominal cabinet width.

Nominal width is not internal width
A cabinet label describes its outside module. The clear space inside its drawer varies by manufacturer, drawer system and joinery specification. Always measure the finished drawer itself.
A close fit at the edge creates the built-in finish.

Three dimensions determine compatibility
Record clear internal width, depth and height. Width selects the Vide range; its 472 mm depth and 53 mm height must also clear the drawer structure.

Allow for variation
Measure width at the front and back and use the smaller figure. Finished joinery can vary slightly from plans, and an existing liner can disguise the true base dimensions.
